1. Before you draw, think of an idea.
In order to start drawing, you need an idea so then you know what you're drawing. If you just draw without an idea, you might get lost and lose progress.
2. Earning inspiration.
Coming up an idea needs imagination and inspiration. Here are a few examples of how to get one :
(a) Listen to music
Pick one of your favourite music from your playlist or in YouTube, it really helps me a lot. When you're listening to one of your favourite songs, it will give you a headstart.
(b) Look around you
This might sound ridiculous to you but to be honest, it helps. Take an example of the outdoors, it has a natural scenery which it can give you a few ideas.
(c) Recent life events/ experiences
Have you ever thought of recent life events? Like during Christmas, Halloween, Chinese New Year, family time, etc. You can perhaps recap about it and draw themes of recent life events, or before the life events.
3. Use your imagination.
Remember, this is the greatest key to amazing drawings. Using your imagination, since it has no boundaries at all. So, think as high as the sky, since art has no limits.
4. Greatest key of all time, passion.
No passion, no art. If you just draw in bad mood or feeling rage, you won't get to draw well, just like how I experienced it. When I first draw something in rage, I can't get to think clearly and I ended up giving up drawing.
Usually if this happens, I usually calm myself first by listening to music. Note, draw what you love and love what you draw.
5. Practice makes perfect.
You may need improvement for the first time or second since there are errors ( not being offensive here just so you know ). But you know what, knowing your own mistakes is a lesson for you to learn. The more you practice, the more you develop in art.
6. Learning in progress.
There's times that you might find difficulties, maybe drawing the face, eyes, animals, characters, portrait, etc. If you need some more guidance, I suggest you to watch tutorials from YouTube, or you can question your friends that knows better than you.
7. Be open towards opinions.
Let's say, you submitted an art, and you received a critique. Critiques are very useful, it is a must that you need them.
Why you need them? Well, simply because critiques helps to improve your drawings better. Maybe, you feel you're not good at it when you hear a critique, but just keep that in mind for the future.
You can also show your drawing to your family, friends, or maybe an art teacher. Show your drawings to them and hear their opinions about it. If they say that you need to improve, be open to the tips they'll give you for the future.
8. Stay determined!
When you draw something, follow your heart. Know that your parents, friends, relatives and your teachers will encourage you to draw more. So folks, don't be afraid when it comes to drawing and don't let anyone stop you from it.
**I may not be the greatest artist of all time, but I hope this literature helps you. 🤗🤓**
- Have a good weekend folks and happy drawing!😄 -
